David Stoudt – VP of Exploration

David Stoudt is Vice President, Exploration and leads the Exploration function for the company. Stoudt has over 33 years of upstream E&P experience from prospect generation to managerial duties. Prior to joining Remora, Recently, he returned to U.S. from Buenos Aires, Argentina, as Acting Exploration Manager and Senior Geological Advisor for Apache Petrolera, Argentina. He was lead prospect generator for Apache’s new business venture and Argentina acquisition which drilled 90 wells in the first year of business. Stoudt was involved in international new ventures from Apache’s Houston headquarters and spent 4 years as exploration manager and chief geologist for Apache Poland, Warsaw, Poland. Prior to his 12 years with Apache, he spent 16 years as geologist, chief geologist, and vice president of geology for Mosbacher Energy, a private Texas family- run exploration and production company with domestic U.S. and international operations. Prior to Mosbacher, he was with Getty Oil.

Stoudt has an MSc with honors in geology from Texas A&M and held the Michael T Halbouty scholarship and a Bsc with honors from Waynesburg College, Waynesburg, Pennsylvania.
