Steve Bell – Chief Executive Officer

Steve Bell is President & Chief Executive Officer and leads the management team of the company. Bell has been in the E&P business for more than 25 years. As former President of Exploration and Business Development for BHP Billiton Petroleum, the worlds’ largest diversified natural resources company, Bell managed a significant portion of the growth portfolio for the company worldwide. Previous to joining BHP, Bell held senior executive positions at EnCana and Apache corp where he led newly created teams that built growth focused International divisions. Prior to that, he served in various technical positions with Sun Oil Company.

Bell currently serves as Chairman of board for the Energy and Geoscience Institute (Univ. of Utah/Imperial College-London). He also serves on the board of trustees for the American Geological Institute, and the Advisory Committee for Continuing Education at The Wharton School of Business (Univ. of Pennsylvania). He is a past Board Member of the American Petroleum Institute, Domestic Petroleum Council and NOIA. A geologist by training, Bell is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School of Business –University of Pennsylvania, and holds a MSc from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and a BSc from Rider College.
